Making a Difference Together
GBI combines the passion for cycling with a commitment to charitable projects around the world. By taking part in a GBI tour, you become part of an international community that not only shares the road and the miles, but also wants to make a difference.
You can support your own charity project or one of the charities recommended by GBI with a voluntary donation. You decide for yourself whether you want to donate and how much. There is no minimum donation and no mandatory donation.
Every donation can help support charitable projects and assist people and organizations locally. Because when many people contribute, even small donations can make a meaningful difference.
Your Fundraising Initiative
Your GBI Ambassador will be happy to introduce you to the charities recommended by GBI and explain the different ways you can support them. If you prefer to support a charity of your own choice, you are of course welcome to do so.
Whether you donate, which project you support and how much you contribute is entirely up to you.
If you have any questions or need support with your fundraising initiative, your GBI Ambassador will be happy to help.
More information about our recommended charity projects and our social commitment can be found in the “About Us” section.
How to Get Friends, Family and Colleagues Involved
Tell your story: Share your personal motivation and explain why the project or organization matters to you. Your story makes your commitment personal and can inspire others.
Use social media: Share your preparations, training progress and the cause you are supporting. This is an easy way to spread the word and keep people involved.
Create a fundraising page: Online fundraising platforms make it easy for friends, family and colleagues to donate. Share your fundraising link via social media, email or messenger.
Organize your own activities: A flea market, dinner, charity event or another creative activity can bring people together while raising funds.
Talk to people personally: Explain why you are taking part in the GBI tour and which charity project you want to support. A personal approach is often particularly effective.
Thank your supporters: A personal thank-you or an update on your fundraising progress shows appreciation and allows your supporters to share in your journey.
We know from almost 20 years of experience: Combining cycling with social engagement can be an extraordinary and rewarding experience. You take on a sporting challenge, become part of a unique international community and, at the same time, have the opportunity to make a positive difference through your personal commitment.
